RACING RATES ALLOTTED. AMERICAN TURF ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCES ITS SCHEDULE TO AUGUST 28. Essex Park to Open March 15 for 21 Days Latonia Gets 30 Days Committee On Rules Granted More Time. New Orleans, La., January 17. Directors of the American Turf Association met in the St. Charles Hotel tonight. The meeting was called to order, with a full membership present. President Matt Winn, of the Louisville Jockey Club, presiding. The meeting was held over from Monday so as to permit Edward Corrigan, who was absent, on a trip north to attend. The following dates were granted to members of the American Turf Association: Essex Park, Hot Springs, Ark., March 1.1 to April V. 21 days. Cumberland Park, Nashville, Tenn., April 11 to 21, 10 days. Lexington, Ky., April 23 to May 2, S days. Churchill Downs, Louisville, Ky., May 3 to 20, 21 days. Latonia, Ky., May 30 to July 1. J.O days. Windsor. Ont.. June 10 to July 7, 1! days. Fort Erie, Out., July 10 to August. 28, 38 days. The committee which has charge of the revision of rules was granted more time in which to re-ort.
