Lyman Hay had to work his way up on the outside and came wide when entering the homestretch, then finishing fast, out-gamed Julia M. In the final drive and just managed to get up in the last stride. Julia M. was quickest at the start and raced away from her opponents in the first furlong and finished gamely but. tired under a drive. Clique ran well and was a contender all the way. Clover Hampton made up. ground. Magic ran tiie best race he has shown In some time, but quit under a drive. Bert Osra was cut off shortly after the start and was pulled up. AVon easily; second the same. Ida Davis wore the leaders down on the turn into the homestretch and, drawing away in the last sixteenth, was well in hand at the finish. Follies Bergeres showed speed, but was much used In raciug with Lochgoll in the early stages and, tiring, had nothing left when the winner challenged. Immortelle had to work her way up 011 the outside, finished with a rush and was going much the fastest of the first three at the end. Xorel moved up when entering the homestretch and then tired. Albiila ran "in improved form. Presentation got caught in a jam on the backstretch and, stumbling, unseated her rider. Felix Mozzes was unlucky and finished well. Lochgoil ran a good half and quit. Begonia was crowded back soon after the start, but closed a big gap and, finishing with a rush, caught Oliver tiring and outgamed him in the final drive. Oliver raced Red Ruby into defeat In the early stages and ran a good race, saving ground all tiie way. Heart of Hyacinth met with interference and lost ground in the first sixteenth, but finished fast. Margaret Angela closed a big gap in the last quarter. I.Ieber was sharply cut off and crowded back on the backstretch, but finished with a rush. Red Ruby showed good Sliced and was eased up at the end. Chantey move,d up fast when going to the tenth jump, but tired when it came io the deciding drive. Oliver Mc went well,, but tired as if short. Thora Lee showed much early speed, but was freely used in racing Ihiora and Mammon to retirement in the first half and at the end tired. Oddoletta finished fast after making a wide turn when entering the homestretch. Cambridge closed a big gap. Mammon showed a flash of early speed. Phiora ran well and was eased up at the end. The latter came with a rush in the last fifty yards and, finishing gamely, would have won in another stride. Aniberita showed the" most speed for the first six furlongs, but tired under punishment. Foxmead ran a dull race, was outpaced all the way and can do much better. .Taneta finished fast and would have been third iu another stride lole ran well. Padre showed early speed. Elliott lost ground bv making a very wide turn when entering the homestretch, but by no means ran to his true form. Gus Heldorn lan well to the stretch and tired. ..
