KING OF COINS IS DESTROYED. Lexington, Ky., January 17. King of Coins, the English-bred young stallion owned by J. S. Stoll, is dead at the Meadows Stud. While out for exercise on the icy ground he fell and broke a leg and had to be destroyed. The dead sire was from the famous Maid of Masham branch of the family from which there came also the good colt Sysonby, the champion racehorse of 1905. King of Coins was by St. Simon, out of Lady .Minting and was foaled in 1S9S. For his dam James R. Keene paid the sum of 7,000 in u public sale at New York a year or so ago. King of Coins was brought to America by H. Eugene Leigh after a season in his stud at Chantilly, France. Last December he was placed in the sales of the Kentucky Sales Company and sold to J. S. Stoll for 95. He was a consistent winner in his racing days, but he had little opportunity in the stud.
