Harry Scott, away in a tangle, was hustled along smartly and moved into early contention, wore down Desha In the last furlong and won drawing away. Desha showed sudden improvement and much speed, tiring only in lie last sixteenth. Tenuis came with a belated rush after having worked through a rough trip. Discernment, probably best and taken to the extreme outer mil and losing much ground, finished fast and-was unlucky to lose. Charles McKee was in close quarters. Frank Green was badly ridden. Almas Pet, evidently a good filly, came away when straightened out in the stretch run witli a grand burst of speed iiiid won eased up. Uunsiim, showing steady Improvement, was a smart factor and hung on gamely under 11 bard drive. Jardiniere closed up a big gap under the whip. My Son ran a good race, but was lucky throughout. First Premium, sharply hustled from the start, was given n vigorous ride near the end and outgamed Bitter Hand. The latter bore out on the turns, was away in a langle and only ran a fair race. Odd Ella had no mishaps. Nutcracker ran a good race. Schoolmate is far from lit, but looks good and will improve. Scratched 59090 Ralnland,. 123; 59512 Varna Fonso, 112. Merry Pioneer, badly ridden, was in close quarters for the major part of the race, had to go wide Into the stretch and finished with a rush. Consuelo tired .unexpectedly In the last quarter after having seemed a certain winner. Frangible showed much speed for a mile before falling. Dr. Heard suffered from repeated interference and finished gamely. .1. C. Clem was nearly thrown shortly after passing the half-mile post. Dromio ran a good race and lasted well In the final drive.
