Yellowstone ran well to the stretch, but tired in the closing drive. Sheriff Bell finished fast. Ray finished with a fast, but belated rush after working through an early rough journey. Esherin, badly handled, tired badly at the end of seven furlongs of forward contention. Massada, away badly, raced rapidly up to the leader and went to the front on the far turn, but tired finally after a sharp brush with the winner, was not keyed up and will do to watch.
