CICELY A WINNER IN ENGLAND. When Cicely, a three-year-old filly by Tartar Faughchin, recently won at one of the western tracks it was generally believed that she had never started before. The liooks quoted 15 to 1 against her and when she won the coup is said to have netted all of 0,000 for her backers. Later It was discovered that Cicely had won a selling race in Knglaud by a sixteenth of a mile. She was bought out of this race aud shipped to Canada, but, though she was kept constantly in training, she was not started until the trick was ready. She is owned by the Kirkfield Stable, well known in the east, which also put Wire In over the plate recently for another heavy winning. New York Sun.
