Brookstou showed speed and also had to jump over Lady Free Knight to avoid fallinsr. Phoebus was practically left. Lady Free Knight was going well when she slipped and fell and would probably have won but for the mishap. Manoeuvre broke in motion and raced Nonie Lucille into defeat In the early stages, but tired at the end. The saddle on Golden Glow turned under her before they had gone a furlong and Melntyre was forced to ride the race bareback. Honeywell went fairly well. Nonie Lucille was a good second to the stretch, hut failed to stay. Corliss evidently disliked the mud.
