Stoessel ran a good, game race and easily outstayed Cabin. The latter closed a big gap and finished fast. Sunray ran well to the stretch, but tired quickly midway of the stretch. Vlgoroso was luckily placed throughout and, finishing gamely; saved third place. Canejo, also well up from the start, finished well, but is best in mud. Kl Chihuahua forced the pace, drew clear at the half and appeared all over the winner to the last sixteenth. Birdie P., well placed, loomed up on the last turn, but tired in the closing drive.
