Mohr, which threw his rider while on the way to the post and ran away six furlongs, was remounted and. getting away flying, set the pace with rare speed and stamina to the last half dozen strides before he succumbed. Menden, away well, was a forward contender throughout. Peerless Lass got away badly and closed a considerable gap, but ran far below his real form. St. Lucar displayed good speed. Charlatan, unable to stride freely in the slippery going, was outpaced for halt the journey, coming with a belated rush at the end and favors a slow, cuppy track. Major Tenny assumed command on the first turn and made the running to the far turn, where he dropped out after a sharp brush with the winner. Bonar, after being reserved in the rear of the early pace, finished well. Mr. Farnum was never dangerous. Lone Wolf finished well. Langford James retired early. Overweights Major Tenny, 2 pounds. Theo Case, away slowly and" trailing to the half, decisively outstayed Ralbert for third place. Ralbert tired at the end of five furlongs and was never dangerous, but did not run his race. Head Dance displayed superior early speed, but had no chance with this kind in the going. Overweights Ebel Thatcher, 3 pounds.
