Won handily: second the same. La Thorpe broke with the leaders and set a fast pace, saved ground all the way and outganied Anna Itiiskin when it came to the final drive. Anna Kuskin, a good looking filly, escaped interference in the early stages by breaking well and was a contender at all stages. Charley Ward finished fast and out-gamed l.iily Maia. The latter finished well. Tom .Morgan covered more ground than those which beat him and was on the outside of the leaders for the entire trip. Belsay was bumped into and knocked back at the start. Beans, Ben Stille and J. D. Dunn were green at the barrier. Ben Stille is a good looker and is a good actlbned colt. Scratched 00353 Approbation, 110. Principia was wellhandled by Griffith and showed a good, game performance, got off in motion and raced head and head with Shelagh and Field Lark until straightened out for the stretch run and hung on gamely when the final drive came. Shelagh ran on the outside all the way and covered more ground than any of the first four. Sallic B. B. saved ground all the way and just managed to get up in time to beat out Field Lark. The latter, a good looker, showed the most early speed, hut tired as if short. Electric Bell was eased up in the, last furlong. Merry Acrobat dropped out of the race after going seven furlongs and Avas eased up at the end. Safety Light propped himself Avhen the start came and vas all but left. Girard Avas messed about in the early stages, but finished fast. FlorizeL seemingly tired in the stretch run, ran a had race and can beat such horses easily.
