TWO RACES FOR MCORMICK. New Orleans, La., February 20. James McCor-micks Monet and Grenade, two of the best horses in training here this winter and both of which won with consummate ease, were tiie center of attraction at Citv 1ark today. Monet shouldered 122 pounds in the" six furlongs handicap, while Grenade carried US pounds in the nfth race, conceding weight to each of his competitors. The attendance was good and speculation lively. Latest reports concerning the condition of V ill AVallace are favorable. He has been slightly Improving since yesterday and hopes are now entertained for his recovery. John Rvan. representative of the recently organized Montreal Jockey Club, which is building a S:S50 COO plant at Montreal, arrived here yesteYday froni Chicago. Mr. Ryan reports that all but 5,000 of the stock of the new cliib has been suhscrilied for. The: first race at City Pari: tomorrow will, be called at. 2:30. Beginning on Wednesday and continuing the remainder of the season, the llrst race will le called at 2:1".
