Esteplatz also made up much ground, took the shortest route and finished fast and gamely. Verandah was always close up and made a good effort at the end. Cut Glass showed speed, but tired in the stretch run. Rill Carroll tired at the finish. II Dottore ran a winning race after getting away poorly. Barrington ran well.
