The latter loomed iip like the winner when taking a brief lead midway of the stretch, but finally tired. Blanche C. from a tlying start, forced a stiff pace, succumbing eventually in a game finish. Miss Turtle Avas shuffled quickly to the rear and closed a gap. Queen Aileene Avas evidently handicapped by tho going. Gold Heather Avas knocked out of the race.
