Tanana made up ground rapidly from an indifferent start and came away fast right at the end after a sharp stretch struggle witli Duke of Orleans. The latter loomed iip like the winner when taking a brief lead midway of the stretch, but finally tired. Blanche C. from a tlying start, forced a stiff pace, succumbing eventually in a game finish. Miss Turtle Avas shuffled quickly to the rear and closed a gap. Queen Aileene Avas evidently handicapped by tho going. Gold Heather Avas knocked out of the race. Easy Street displayed good early speed and tired. Fury, away badly, seemed anchored in the going, but made up some ground. Royal Red dropped to the rear early and rau a bad nice.
