Winner B. m, by Tournament Lucille, by Zeal trained by F. L. Gardner. Went to post at 2:31. At post 3 minutes. Start good. Won driving; second and third the same. The Laurel, lucky in escaping the crowding and jamming, saved much ground by hugging the inner rail throughout aud. finishing gamely, came away in the last sixteenth. Labor followed close up in tne early running and when seemingly the winner, began swerving and boring into the inner rail, which post him the race. My Gem closed a good gap and, finishing gamely, would have been second in another, stride. Golden Mineral was shuttled back soon after the start and had to go wide on the first turn, made up a good gap, but only ran a fairly good race. Zinda tired fast after going a good three-quarters and was excessively used. Handy Bill ran a poor race and can do much better. Time, 24-, 493, 1:02. Winner B. g, by Bel Demonio Caloocan trained by J. Ross. Went to post at 3:01. At post 4 minutes. Start fair. Won easily; second and third the same. Alta McDonald followed the early leaders closely and, saving groimd when coming into the stretch, headed Hybrid in the final, .sixteenth, but bore over and, pinning Hybrid against the Inner rail, forced Morris to take the latter back to keep from going down and was disqualified. Demo came with a great rush through the stretch and got up in the final stride for second place. Hybrid showed good speeil and Would have won but for interference. Elected gained steadily after going a half. Goldess, probably best, was knocked back at the start and closed a tremendous gap. Friendship bolted on the stretch turn and was eased up through the stretch. Sagapanak ran green, tried to bolt soon after the start and was pulled up. Scratched 03435 Seba, 107. Ohio Kiug went only moderately well. Enida fell at the last obstacle. Snowdrift was going fast and moving Into contention, when she fell on the fiat. Ethel Day ran as if she outclassed the others and, assuming a long lead soon after the start, led nnex-temfed for the rest of the trip and won well in hand. Kohnoflaw went well, was gaining steadilv in the stretch and finished going fast. Martius tired badly after going live furlongs and barely lasted long enough to save third place. Manfred, away slowly, had to be hard ridden for the first half,- bat finished going well and will Improve. Ralbert tired after early prominence. . Alma Gardla moved up with a rush after going a quarter, but tired In the final furlong. Bittei Brov.-n ran a fairly good race only. Pinaud can do better. Grace.
