IMPROVEMENTS AT BRIGHTON BEACH. Many improvements have been made at Brighton Beach track. Hundreds of young trees have been planted along the backstretch and in other places, while a new driveway from Neptune avenue makes it easier for carriages and automobiles to reach the paddock. A new jockey building lias been erected just beyond tile paddock, where the riders are kept in the usual seclusion all the afternoon. The same kind of a Joikev board, used for the first time In the east at Sheepshead Bay, has been installed, together with the same method of announcing the scratches. In place of the vocal calls to the betting ring, a large electric gong now does service and is a great improvement.
