In behind Fire Fang until making the turn into the homestretch, where she slipped through next to the rail, wore Fire Fang down In the stretch and proved earnest when it came; to the final drive. Fire. Fang rushed to the front at the start and set the pace but tired in the last eighth under punishment. Lady Carol, outrun In the early stages, was wearing the leaders down nt the end and going fastest of all. The latter was messed about In the early stages, but rushed through next to the inside rail while rounding the turn into the homestretch, closed a big gap and made a determined rush at the eighth post, but tired in the final drive. Gold Enamel moved up fast on the turn out of the backstretch,-but could never get to the winner. Hannibal Hey was outrun all the way. Cobmosa showed early speed, but quit in the last quarter. Chanida was waited with until well around the far turn before making his run, wore Dollnda down in the last furlong and just liiuimged to got tip for 1 dead heat In the linal stride. George Vivian was on the inside in the worst going all the way and was tiring at the end. Nameoki was as good as left, closed a big gap In the first six furlongs, then tired. Bery Waddell ran well. Edward Wilder rushed arouud the others 011 the turn out of the backstretch and forced a fast pace, but lost ground on the turn into the homestretch, where he went wide and tired in the last furlong. My Bessie took the short route and had to stand a drive to stall off Kminoln. The latter was cut off on the far turn, then went wide on the turns and Fischer let go her head a couple of times In the stretch run, wiiere she should have been a keen contender.
