SOME HONEST PEOPLE IN NEW YORK. New York, August 3. The value of the inquiry bureau maintained by the Pinkertons at the local tracks was again demonstrated yesterday when a ladys gold watch that had been picked up outside of the Brighton Beach entrance on Wednesday afternoon, was restored to its owner. The tinder, a Brooklyn man, left it at the bureau and it was properly described and claimed before the first race.
