Chase, away well and showing the most speed, assumed a long lead at once and increased his advantage with every stride, winning eased up to a canter. Alta McDonald raced forwardly from the start and, saving ground when turning into the stretch, outstayed Gabble. The latter, away ruiinin", was a game contender all the way and ran a good race, lion Vlvant went well all the way and finished gamelv. Arguer ran green and put up a good effort. Mum, showing suddenly Improved form and much speed, established a long lead from the start and, being well ridden, lasted just long enough. Elastic, away running, followed the leader close up in the earlv stages, stood a hard drive well and would have won In another stride. Frank Bill kept well up with the early pace and ran a surprisingly good race for him. Martius, away ikwrly, closed a big gap and suffered from Interference. Revolt ran a fairly good race. Terns Rod ran a bad race and can do much better. Mayor Johnson, away badly, had scant chance. Wee Lass broke fully In motion and, quickly getting into her stride, opened up a winning lead in the first quarter, increasing her advantage thereafter until in the final furlong, where she was eased to a canter. Matador ran in Improved form under a good rider and finished going fast. Old Stone, after suffering interference, came fast through the stretch when hard ridden and closed a big gap. Granada ran a fairly good race under indifferent handling. White Plume ran well in sjwts only and will improve. Devout seemed to sulk most of the way. Won easily; second and third driving. Jim Bozeman acted fractiously at the post, but was away running and, showing the most speed, had littie opposition after all but Ohio King ran out, winning well in hand. Ohio King was hard restrained all the way and seemingly could have won off by himself with Intelligent handling. Subador was taken into the course where he ran out and came on again in front of Profitable to the stretch, where lie had to be shaken up to stall off the hitters determined challenge. Billy Wake was also taken back Into the course, but finished cased up. Billy Wake and Byrne of Roscrea were responsible for the horses running out. Scratched 03S28Gould, 152; C3074 II. M. St. Paris ran as if much the best, was away well and, showing the most speed, won all the way without great effort. The Gadlly. best of the others, had to overcome slight interference and ran a good race. Bernie Cramer, badly ridden, closed a tremendous gap in the last half and finished going fast. The Laurel tired badly after going a half. Morendo came fast near the end. Labor ran a bad nice and can do much better. Dr. Hart tired in the final drive. Postman was well handled and ran to ills lx-st form, gradually improved his position, although going wide, wore down the leaders after going three-quarters and held Marshal Ney safe in the final drive. The latter ran sluggishly in the early stages and went wide into the stretch, but came on gamely under c hard drive and was wearing the leader down slowly at the end. Dudley. ioorly handled, ran a good race and finished going fast. Laeene tired after showing the most speed for the first three-quarters Dr. JleCliitr closed a gap. Docile began slowly, but moved up rapidly after going a quarter and, saving ground when turning into the stretch,, stood a hard drive gamely and outlasted Uncle Henry. The latter, away well, escaped all interference, but bore out through the stretch drive and this cost lilm the race. Amber! tn had a rough trip and was going fast at the end. .Tosies Jewel, away in a tangle and showing scant speed for the first half, moved up well thereafter, but was roughly handled and tired near the end. Bitter Brown, interfered with sharply all the way, ran a good race and, with clear sailing, would have lieen a dangerous contender. Ida Davis had a rough trip.
