Minnehaha, showing improved form, assumed a long lead In the first quarter, stayed well under a hard drive and lasted just long enough. Leo Bright, well bundled, was a forward contender from the start, finished going gamely and would have won in another stride. Moccasin Maid ran well all the way. Lady Charade made up ground and finished going fast. Bitter Hand tired after going three-quarters. Prince of Pless was away badly and closed a big gap. Inspector Girl ran a dull race and can do much better. Thlberus was a contender when his saddle turned, forcing his rider to pull him up. Demo was best and had to overcome a lot of interference in the first half, was poorly handled and swerving and just got up in time, but was drawing clear. Bonart ran a good race, set the pace nearly throughout and, after seeming the winner, tired in the final strides. Alta McDonald ran a good race and finished going fast. Elected tired fast after going five furlongs and was slightly crowded in the final drive. Me-Jntyre ran a fairly good race and will improve. Helen Maelhi tired badly in the last quarter. Clamor was knocked out of any chance at the start and was not persevered with. Scratched O4O01Prineess Marie, 92. Red Thistle ran as if best, was away in a forward position and well handled and, after wearing down the leaders in the early stages, came away and won with plenty in reserve. Black Mantilla ran a good race and stayed better than expected in the final drive. Ann Hill set the early pace and stood a hard drive gamely at the end. Orline, going wide most of the way, closed a gap and went well throughout. Magic began slowly, but saved ground when turning into llie stretch and continued to gain in the final drive. Duessa, away poorly, ran a bad race. Martha Celia, badly ridden, showed early speed, but was allowed to swerve badly through the stretch. Sonny bled and was eased up. Devout, hard ridden all the way, saved ground when coming into the stretch and, stealing up to the inner rail, got up in time to win a lucky race. Wee Lass was best and would have won on by herself with any kind of fairly good handling, showed the most speed and led by a wide margin to the stretch, where Rice got careless and allowed Devout to steal up on him. Alcor had a rough trip and was knocked back to last place at the half-mile post, then stood a hard drive well and outgamed Nonie Lucille through the last sixteenth. Ovelaudo, running gamely and standing a hard drive through the stretch, gradually wore down the swerving Marmorean and got up in the final strides. Marmorean showed the most early speed and apneared to be winning easily when she began swerving and tired near the end. Sir Geoffrey, away In a tangle and going wide most of the way, ran a winning race and finished with a rush. Bottles, luckv throughout, ran a fairly good race and stayed well in the final drive. Sainrida, away -in a tangle and suffering from interference, ran moderately well only and can do much better. Mont alba n tired after earlv prominence. Morales acted green and nervous and swerved repeatedly. Tom Gilroy began slowlv and had scant chance with a poor rider, but closed a gap and can do much better. Oak Grove, much the best, had a rough trip, was sharply cut off at the half-mile post and forced to go wide into the stretch, then came fast, but Fisher is too" small to ride a strong finish and this caused her defeat. Miss Anxious, clear of interference, showed much speed, but tired after going a half. Mill Song suffered from a jam at the half-mile post and ran a poor race. ZInda had scant chance with the interference she suffered from. Daly, on Creel, was knocked but of the saddle when the crowding began. Capitano was thrown heavily. Kent.ii broke in a tangle, raced forwardly for the first three-quarters, then tired and will improve. My Gem ran a good race and finished fast.
