Lady Gay Spanker was crowded back at ,the stnrt and suffered from much Interference In the early running, but closed up gamely In the last furlong and was wearing the leader down at the end. Limited ran In much Improved form and showed early speed, but tired In the final run. Eva Iser ran well, but was on the outside of the leaders all the way and lost ground when entering the homestretch, where she was carried wide. Excuse Sle can do much better. Javanese outbroke the others and set a fast pace, raced Glluiiner Into subjection in the first half, then tired in the last furlong. Glimmer showed speed, but tired and was driving to the limit at the end to stall oft Charlie Gilbert. The latter moved up with a rush on the turn into the homestretch, but tired under a drive In the stretch run and was probably short. De Oro ran well to the stretch. The Abbot was always outrun. , d. Solon Shingle ran a good race and moved up when Wexford did, but could not improve his position Hi the last quarter. Dolinda ran well and had to stand a hard drive to stall oft Request. Prestige .was well ridden and rated along in behind Felix Slozzes until straightened out for the homestretch, closed up with a rush In the last furlong and was going away at the end. Sharp Boy wore Felix Slozzes down in the last sixteenth and, outstaying him in the final drive, just managed to get up in the final stride. He ran a mile after the race before Hogg could pull him up. Felix Slozzes outbroke the others and set a fast pace, but failed to stay. Bert Osra was away tangled up and closed a big gap. Amador quit under a drive in the last quarter. Reticent was easily best, got off tangled up and had to work his wav up on the outside, closed up fast on the turn into the homestretch and, finishing with a rush, caught Rulmlyat tiring and was going away at the end. Rubaiyat had to weave his way through on the far turn and made a good effort at the furlong post, where be disposed ot Sheen, but had nothing left to stall off the winners challenge. Sheen was a keen contender at all stages and carried Fire Fang and Orderly along at a pace that made them tire after going a half. Slany Thanks was outrun all the way.
