Brookdale Nymph far outclassed the others and, being sent along from the start, quickly assumed the lead, holding sway without much effort to the end. Bohemia improved her position on the last turn, .Irew away with a good lead of the others for second place, but tired at the end and barely lasted long enough. Orilene made a strenuous effort to overhaul the leader from start to finish and ran a game race. Water-grass was badly outpaced in the early running, but closed up well at the end. Belle of. Ace High, lucky at the start and having clear sailing, was in forward contention to the stretch, where he drew out and just got home by a narrow margin. Rappahannock was knocked back to nearly last In the first furlong, then closed an immense gap and just failed to get up. Yorkist, a slow beginner and badly shut off at the half, made up a lot of ground and, finishing fast, would have won with a clear course. Mitre ran forwardly and gamely throughout. Russell T., away very badly, was whipped into the lead on the outside and, fouling everything near him, quit after showing a remarkable burst of speed. John J. Rogers, away badly, closed a big gap. Irvine showed superior early speed, but failed to stay. Scratched 64530 Boxer, 104. Harris, fresh and good and served by the soft going, was sent along from the start, lapping the pacemaker to the last turn, where he drew out and won holding his own. John Lyle trailed the others close up to the last turn, where he came 011 fast, but could not get up in a game closing struggle. Tartan worked through a rough journey to the stretch, where he finished well and earned third place in the last stride. King Cole was a prominent contender tp the last furlong, whore he tired, but shows improving form. Hallowmas finished close up on the inside and was forced to pull up right at the end of a good race. Edith James preliminary was bad, but she ran a good race and was badly messed about. Carew showed speed, but failed to stay. Hot Toddy broke Elowly and was crowded on the first turn, was then reserved In a good position to the stretch, where he was forced to bump his way through on the inside and could not get up, but put np a grand effort. Nealou ran In close pursuit of the winner to the stretch, where he tired, but struggled In a very game third. Good Luck was shut off on the first turn and closed up rapidly on the outside and loomed up menacingly on the last turn, but tired at the end. Zienap went well, but failed to stay the journey. Lotus Eater was never dangerous. Inquisitor has seemingly developed Into a non-stayer, or has staled from severe racing. The Wrestler got away slowly, but rnshed quickly into a contending position, drew out on the Inside when straightened for home and won going, away. Frank Gill ran lapped on the pacemaker from the start, but went wide and was messed about on the last turn and came fast in the stretch, but too late. Eddie Ware, away poorly, trailed far in the rear to the far turn, where he closed up and came on at the end like a cyclone. Red River held his position to the stretch, where he tired slightly and will improve. Superman set the pace to the stretch, where he tired as if short and was slightly sore. Oarsman loomed up on the last turn, but quit badly in the stretch. Ed Ball, nearly left, closed a big gap while running on the extreme outside. Throw his race out. Red Knight was shuffled to the rear and madt up considerable ground in the last half. Liudale wants a longer route and ran well. Jetsam was short, will improve and is a superb looker.
