Loring, from a striding start, quickly ranged alongside of the pacemaker, passed him oh the stretch turn and drew out into a long lead, but finished tiring and driving hard. Oraculum set the pace to the last turn, where he relinquished his advantage, but came again and was wearing the Winner down at the end. Gallant Dan closed up steadily into n fast going third. Lady Vera showed superior speed and only tired right at tbe end. Suada, away poorly, closed up considerable ground. Shackle finished well up. 71ilCing got away badly and improved his position. Souvigny ran forwavdly for a mile and then fell away and finished very tired. Dulclan ran palpably short. Amanda II. showed superior speed and fenced finely for a mile. T. S. Martin stumbled at the first obstacle and unseated his rider.
