FUTURE OF BREEDING BUREAU IS ASSURED. The stallions most recently acquired by Xew Yorks Breeding Bureau are Saccbarometer, by The Judge Sacharlsa, and Merry Lark, by Jim Gore Twitter. Saccharometer is a brown horse, sixteen hands high, of exquisite conformation and will weigh fully 1,100 pounds. Merry Lark is too well known to need especial commendation. He was a high class stake, winner, a sturdy racehorse and a horse of the conformation to improve the breed of horses in the state, of Xew York. Some queries have been received by the Breeding Bureau of the Jockey Club as to soundness of the stallions placed by them. It Is pertinent to say that no horse has been placed by the" Breeding Bureau that possesses, any possible hereditary unsoundness. Of course, these horses in some intances are not racing sound, as very few horses that have been tried and raced are without some blemish, such as a bowed tendon, a wind puff or some Injury. However, with the care and rest they will receive on the farms these blemishes will rapidly and entirely disappear. Six of the Breeding Bureaus selections have been exhibited at the agricultural fairs of the state of Xew York, five having received first premiums and one second. All in all the Breeding Bureau of the Jockey Club has succeeded beyond its most sanguine expectations and its future seems assured. . - -
