Chase, running to his best form and well handled, was a forward contender from the start, stood a hard drive gamely and, finishing with a rush, got up In the final strides. Lightning Conductor .showed great speed and took a long lead soon after the start, but tired slightly in the stretch. Caper was taken wide most of the way, but came fast through the stretch and finished with a rush. Tom Dolan had a rough ; trip In the early stages nnd closed a big gap from a slow beginning. Bushthorpc tired after going a half. Malta ran a good race and was gaining at the end. Frank Flesher began slowly and trailed far back in the early stages, then came fast near the end. ... Clifton Forge was a forward contender from the start, but tired In the last sixteenth. Posing, probably best, was away poorly, had to close a big gap and, finishing fast, would have been third in a few more strides. Fair Calypso tired after showing speed and will improve. El Otros ran a good race and was a game and fast going second. Hannibal Bey showed good form and much speed, but tired after going three-quarters. Arthur Cummer was a bad trailer for the first half and closed a big gap In the stretch. Dolinda can do much better. The Clansman wore himself out at the post and tired badly in the last half. Sainrlda, probably much the best, had to overcome a lot of Interference and was given a bad ride, but found clear sailing in the stretch and moved up with a rush, but was weakly handled and nearly beaten out by Light Wool. The latter closed up with a rush after going five furlongs and. standing a hard drive, barely failed to win. Judith Louise was speedy, but tired from her early efforts in pacemaking. Zipango ran a good race. Rothgeb was a sharp contender in the early stages and showed Improvement. Hereafter quit badly in the last quarter. Scratched 04944 Mlnot, 110; 05003 Zanliss. 02.
