Baringo, away very badly, Improved her position steadily and won out witii a decisive end spriilt, was much the best aiid particularly favorcO. by the going. Fantastic was hurried in lie early running to overhaul the fast, but uon-staylug, pacemaker and suddenly, tired when Hearing the finish. Sally Preston, nearly left, closed a big gap and got up for third place in the last stride. Grace George was in forward contention froni the slart aiid held on well. Arlington Is promising, displayed superior early speed and tired right at the end. Pass Him Out, shuffled to the rear at the half, is a good looker. Charles G. Gates was virtually left and made up considerable ground. Royal Onyx showed superior speed for live furlongs, but faifed to stay. Katriona, another fast one, bolted on the far turn. John Lyle was patiently reserved in close attendance on the pacemaker for seven furlongs, dashed through on the Inside in the stretch and won with plenty in hand. California King held on very gamely despite early and exhaustive pursuit of the pacemaker. Merlingo came fast from the rear on the outside into a fast going third. Sir CarUthers tired after following the early pace for seven furlongs and ran a good race. Onatas, never really dangerous, was well up for six furlongs, but tired unexpectedly in the stretch. Sonoma Belle, after trailing for six furlongs, closed up well in the stretch. Optician raced into a suicidal lead early and failed to stay. Monet held a good position all the way, finished fast under vigorous handling and is very good. Priiice Hamburg tired badly at .the end of a strenuous live furlongs pursuit of the winner. Gambrinus was shuffled to the rear early in the journey, ran in the deepest going alLthe way and linishcd close up, but pinned in next to the inner rail. Lucy Young finished well up and Is fresh and good. Gentian was hopelessly outclassed. Bel-mere, a superlatlA-e mudlark, set a tremendous pace throughout, gamely withstanding Dishabilles determined end challenge. The latter broke slowly and was reserved In the first quarter, mo ed up prematurely and too fast in the middle half, came through on the inside in bad going and, after being seriously interfered with by Angler on the last turn, just failed to get up and Avas best. Coy Maid essaved to outrun Belmere early and, unable to do so. was then taken back and Avaited with and closed up fast at the end in a superior effort. Angler, always lit a good position, loomed up menacingly on the far turn and in th" stretch, but tired unexpectedly right at the end. Good Luck ran a dull race, Avas badlv outpaced for six furlongs and finished with a belated rush. Cederstrome finished close up and ran a good race. Ostrich trailed hopelessly all the Aay.
