Niblick was taken to the front at once, easily led all the way and won cantering, Yada ran well nnd forwardly throughout and outlasted Toscan in a drive for second place. The mud favored the latter and he ran a good race, but tired in the last sixteenth. The Saracen was shut off right after the start, closed a gap and his race was a good one. Society Bud was shut off in the first furlong. Monterey made up ground and was going well at" the end. Castor showed speed, but quit badly. Regal Lad showed the most speed all the way, outbroke his opponents, but tired and at the end was all out and doing his best to stall off Theodocia. The latter ran a good race, was a sharp contender all the way and at the end was slowly gaining. Speed Queen closed a big early gap and finished gamely. June Time was in a pocket on the home turn and would have been closer up if she could have got througli in time. Millstone and Arlington were right there at the finish. El Tovar showed, improvement. Oxford set the pace fast throughout, never gave the others a chance and won eased up. Welbourne ran in nearest pursuit all the way, but tired in the stretch and was all out to beat Pater. The latter began slowly and came wide around the stretch turn, but came fast through the stretch. Dainty ran fairly well and probably needed the race to fit her, but IS best on a dry track and finished showing lameness. Zienap finished gamely. Grazlallo showed early speed, but failed to stay. Brittanby showed the most early speed and held on gamely at the end. Narelle seemed favored by the going, finished gamely and her race was a good one. Diebolds race was too bnd to be true and, on his Pimllco form, he should have been closer up. Meddlesome Boy closed a gap and finished fast. Scratched 65381 Pins and Needles, 102.
