Shirley Rossmore. running to her best form, took a long lead at once and was never seriously menaced at any stage, winning eased up to a canter. Boll Weevil followed close tip for the first quarter, but tired in the stretch, although finishing fast when Shirley Rossmore was eased up. Orphany went well and was always the most serious contender of the others. No Engine closed a gap in the stretch. Katherine Murphy, away in a tangle, had scant .chance and was eased up throughout. Rose Hait was well handhd aad clear of interference, dashed into the lead after going a aawrtci and, under a mild drive, drew away in the stretch to win with plenty in reserve. Dulzura, hard ridden all the way, saved ground on the stretch turn and finished artth a rush. Starglov forced the running almost throughout, but tired near the end. Taunt ran fairly well and was favored by gx d rating link. Bedrice was in close piartcrs most of tie way. Theodotia was almost thrown soon after the start aud again suffered from interference en the stretch turn and can do much better. Scratched— 07422 Ballad. 107. Dunn began slowly and had a rough trip throughout, but finished with a rush. Woolsiartle tired fast after going a half and can do better.
