NO LICENSE FOR JACK MARTIN. New York. April 12. — The application of Jockey Jack Martin for license to ride on the local tracks this year was laid on the table by the Stewards of the Jockey Club at their meeting yesterday. This action is in the nature of aftermath of Martins troubles in New Orleans last winter. At Unfair Grounds January M, Martin gave Orly a bad looking ride and an investigation was begun that afternoon, for a fortnight there was no announcement from the officials. At City Tark february 12 Martin was suspended for six days for fonl riding and the following day the Crescent City Jockey Club announced that as a result of its probing into the Orly race, Martin would stand sus -pended until March 25. On that day he resumed riding and shortly afterward came to New York, lielieving that he would be granted a license, since IKiwerful iuliuences had been at work in his behalf.
