His colors were carried to the front in two races, Servile beating the odds-on favorite. Ben Cole, iu the second race, while the big. tine-looking Senator Barrett outgamed Marston for the following race. There was some luck in favor of Servile, how ever, as in a driving finish Miller, on Ben Cole, broke a stirrup just before the finish and the colt faltered just when lie was slowly, but surely gain nig on Servile. After the lUCC Mr. Madden sold Servile to Will Shields for .fj.ono. Be also sold the Ilanudes colt. Gold foil, to George Odom for Senator Barrett and Oxford were the winning-■ajtoffteS.
