NOTES OF THE TURF. John Bodegap is handling a number of two-year-olds at Lexington for Sam T. White, the Chicago turfman. Barney Schreiber has leased a ranch adjoining that of W. B. Jennings j,, California ami will turn out some of his horses during the summer. Tom Cook has engaged V. Kelly to ride Lisaro in all of the rai-es in which that horse will start during the remainder ot the season at Oakland. Preparations are being made for the elaborate entertainment of Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Long worth at the Kentuckj Association course aext Saturday. Sam Hibhclb says he is satislicl that the colt Walter Milter will prove Firestones master when ii comes to racing over a considerable distance of ground.
