WILL ADOPT THE ENGLISH SYSTEM. P.etting on the Canadian tracks in future will he conducted in accordance with the English system, and at Toronto and Montreal will be under the ni.in-ageaaeal of John g. Oarauagh, the well known riug-ni.i-ter at the New York tracks. Carauagh will Inaugurate his "bureau of adrauee information" at the Toronto track, and will probably have the same arrangement in vogue at Montreal. The English svstem is a matter of individual wagers, based on the popular «ud successful plan ill vogue on the New York and Washington tracks. In Canada the layers will use slates, note books and tickets, hut they cannot letnaiu in a tixed position. This will be entirely in compliance with the Canadian law as recently construed by the Supreme Court at Ottawa.
