Aletheuo was easily best, tixik the lead at the rise of the barrier and the further he went the more he acreased his lead, winning in a canter. Wellwurne ran in nearest pursuit all the way and was doing his Ixt at the end 10 save second place. Smiling Tom was as good as left, but closed an immense gap and Oniabed with a rush. Bobbie Kean was speedy, but lired in the stretch drive, laldie Ware showed speed and tired as if short. Hal was close up from the start, showed great speed and. running into the lead when a furlong ont, finished with a rash and going away under needless punishment. Onda forced the pace throughout and was a last going and Basse second. Dead Gone, showing sudden improvement, finished fast and outstayed Br.nyah for third place. The latter sot a fast early pace and tiled in the final drive, but finished gamely. 1 f.-sh finished close up and going fast. Beniiie Williams ran fairly well only. Senator Beckham can do better. Half Sovereign quickly challenged the winner and ran lapped OS her almost throughout, finished fast and gamely, but could not gain an inch in the final drive. Gold-fiaa made up grouud in the stretch and finished with a rush. Meggs Hill showed early speed and tired iu the stretch struggle. Miss Angie ran well. Glorious Betsy failed to stay. Peter Pan soon forged into a long lead aud showed great speed, but tired in the fiL.il drive as if not entirely keyed up aud will reverse this running later on. Saracinesca followed Peter Ian closeiy for six furlong- and finished out gamely, but tiring. Okenite ran a good, game race, but was •ur. lassed. George S. Davis ran well to the stretch and tired in the final drive. Senator Clay and Oran were badlv outpaced throughout. The latter fenced well, but was deficient in speed. Leonalla stumbled und unseated her rider directly after taking the first Juniii. Adjutur fell in the second turn of the field.
