SAUSALITO POOLROOM SITUATION. The Board of Trustees of the town of Sausalito, Cal., are involved in the action District Attorney Bovd threatens againHl Harvey and Daroux. who opened a poolroom in the Buffalo Hotel last Mon- day. The trustees gave the firm a permit to operate the room. There is no law against poolrooms I or betting on horse races in California, but 1 the last grand jury sitting in Marin county Inst i int. d District Attorney Boyd to prevent the B reopening of the poolroom at Sausalito. The District Attorney advised the trustees of these instructions and warned them that if they issued a permit this year he would proceed against them. The warning was disregarded and now the District Attorney has demanded a withdrawal of the permit. The trustees have decided that they will not withdraw the permit until attorney Boyd shows them i that they have violated the law.
