I TEXANS CHEER DR. MACKS VICTORY Travelers from Lone Star State Enjoy the Sport at Blue Bonnets. Montreal. Quebec. June 14. The card was made up of seven va.es the features ot which were the fourth for gentlemen riders, and the seventh for horses bred, foaled, raised and owned in the Province of jurbcr and Ontario. Kelvin. winner of the Kings Plate at Toronto, and Wood bine, winner of the plate at Blue Bonnets, were among the live that went to the | osi. Kelvin proved an easy winner after indulging Mignonette with the lead for the hist ball mile. In trying to sipieeze through next to the rail. Harmony was crowded by Woodbine and Murphy was forced to lake back. The foul was so palpable that race goers were sin prised that the stewards deliberated as long as they diil before making the change in the placing. Starter Dade and one of his assistants left for Buffalo tonight to be on hand lor the opening of the Kenilworth meeting. William Snyder, one of Mr. Dades assistants, remained over and will do the starting at Blue Bonnets tomorrow. Many of the stables raring liere will shjp direct to Windsor, where the midsummer meeting of the Hiuhland Park Club opens tomorrow. The reports of the great number of horses at Kenilworth influenced many in hanging their plans. J. Burttschell has purchased Abjure from W. Short.
