Hollow, away fast, set a stiff pace, raced Whisk Broom into subjection, eame away iu the last furlong :nd won well In hand. Ralla ran a good race, but tired slightly in the last sixteenth. Ed Kane began slowly and was shuttled back soon after the start, but finished with a rush through the stretch and got up in the dosing strides for third place, Knthcrinc Murphy ran fairly well. Greshani closed a gap from a poor beginning. Whisk Rroom tired after going a half. Lady Vie also tired after early prominence. The winner was entered for hB100: no bid. Mary Riichanan, probably best, ran well, but hail scant chance with an incompetent rider. Ericson had no mishaps and tired after going a half. Gallithea, going wide most of the way, was a forward contender in the early stages, but. tired in the last furlong. Lieutenant Rice was practically left. Carthage, away well, showed superior speed and drew into a good lead, but tired in the last quarter and barely lasted long enough to retain second place. Morales ran a good race and was excessively used In the first three-quarters. Monslgnor put Up a good performance.. The Clansman had a rough trip and can do much better.
