AVon driving; second and third the same. Mark Antony II. forged into the lead quickly and set the pace to the stretch, where he swerved all over the track and, fouling Sir Toddington, was disqualified. Sir Toddington closed an early gap and was drawing clear in the stretch when Mark Antony II., bolted to the outside under the whip and bumped him several times, but recovered and won going away. Security followed the leader closely to the stretch, where he was outpaced by the other two and ran as if he disliked the slow and cuppy going. East End was going well at the finish. Don Hamilton, after trailing far back, made up ground in the last half. Martha Jane, from a lucky forward start, fell back quickly, but closed up fast in the last half on the outside good going and, iu a fast finish, caught the leaders tiring and won out in the last stride. Thomas Calhoun, away slowly, closed a big early gap too quickly "and drew out in the stretch, but tired suddenly at the end. Miss Catesby, away very badly, closed an immense gap and ran a cracking race. Moquette closed up much ground and finished like a cyclone. Queens Souvenir, after being crowded back on the last turn, came attain gamely and finished with a rush. Boas showed brilliant early speed and tired as if short. Don Enrique set a rapid pace from the start, only succumbed in the final sixteentli and was a game second. Aletheuo was shuttled back on the last turn and came very fast on the outside in the last furlong. Botanist was a prominent contender for live furlongs, then tired. The AVrestler again failed to stay after a superior display of speed. AAoolspun tired after close early pursuit of the pacemakers. Sir Galahad finished fast. Goldquest showed speed, but failed to stay.
