Bergen set the pace and was lucky throughout, but was best and going away cantering at the cud. Enticing ran well, but tired in the stretch and had to be hard ridden to save second place. Supine closed a big gap from the head of the stretch home and finished fast. Lady Sicliel ran well all the way and her race was a good one. New Garter ran fairly well. Concerned showed speed, but failed to stay. Scratched 70003 Rough House, 107. Palette was far back in the early running, but began moving up on the far turn and, coming through the htretcli with a rush, got up to win in the last two strides. Miss Alert also made up much ground in the last half and, taking the lead in the stretch, appeared the winner, but fired at the end and Prestons finish was not vigorous. La Veita ran a fairly good race, but seems to Ik; in poor form. Soprauo was i speedy, hut had a rough trip and was much knocked about. Hollow was given a good ride, went into the lead quickly, ran to his best form and won easing up. Running Account was always prominent in the running and, in a fast finish, outstayed Louis Roederer for secoiid place. The latter ran in improved form and finished gamely. Spunky ran fairly well only. Priceless Jewel ran n bad race. Corncob was sharply impeded on the lower turn. The winner, entered for 00, waS bid up to ,200 by W. AValker and bought in. Cederstrome finished fast after trailing in the early running. Punky ran a good race to the stretch and tired. Javanese quit badly in the -stretch drive.
