LATONIA READY TO RACE MONDAY. Cincinnati, O., Sept. 2t. Everything is ready for a good meeting at Latonia at which a twenty-days meetiug begins Monday. Judge Ed Hopper will preside and John B. Dillon will take up the work lie left as secretary and handicapper. Lyman Davis is taking a rest. The track needs rain; in all other respects it is perfect. It and the country nround Milldale is parched dry. There are 500 horses at the track, with little or no sickness, and about 400 more horses will get In from Lexington and from Canada by the time the gates open on Monday. The track was made so hard by the automobile racing that the majority of the trainers liave slowed their charges up and no fast -work has been attempted during the past week. ,
