Celloquy, showing her usual good form, ran into a long lead at once and, maintaining her speed well lliMuiglicut, won well in hand. Fror.tenac had a slight advantage at the start and, following the winner closely throughout, put up a good performance and was best of the others today. Lady Esther was out-paced in the early stages, but came fast through the stretch and wore down the others for third place. Hannibal Bey ran well. Ben Strong was a sharp factor in the early stages, hut tired after going a half. Uuhlproof ran far below his best form and failed to show much speed. Fncle Tim, badly ridden, ran a good race and was a close contender most of the way. Moscow Belle began slowly and suffered from some Interference on the first turn, but finished fast when clear and ran a good race. Sahado closed a big gap in the last quarter and will improve. Mackerel ran far below his best form and can do much better. Mondella showed speed for a half and tped as if short. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Lady Carol, showing good form and away fast, showed the most speed and, setting a fast pace all the way, stood the final drive gamest and won drawing away. Miss Strome improved her position steadily, but was swerving in the last furlong and but for this might have won. Dulcinea was right there most of the way and put up a good performance under indifferent riding. Javanese ran fairly well and will im piove. Devout seemed to sulk and was away poorly, but closed a big gap and should have been a dangerous factor. Coon showed speed for a half. Stoner Hill had no mishaps. Miss Kitty can do better. Lexoline, showing greatly improved form, followed Beau Bruinmel closely for the first half and, taking the lead, won as his rider pleased. The Minks gained steadily from a slow beginning and, finishing gamely, outstayed Monsignor for second place. Monsignor, running with a choppy stride, fell back after going a half, only to come again in the last quarter, and finished with a rush. The Clansman broke in a tangle and raced into a contending: position on the first turn but, under poor guidance, was beaten after going three-quarters. Beau Brummel quit after going a fast half. Pinkola ran as if much the best, was reserved in the early running and, when well straightened out for 1 the stretch run, wore down Rebel Queen and came away to win cantering. Albert Star began slowly anil i came wide into the stretch, but finished with a rush and outstayed Rebel Queen iu the final strides. Ouardi saved ground all the way and, after being restrained for a half, wore the leaders down and won as his rider pleased. Scalplock came fast in the last quarter from a slow beginning and finished .with a lush. Cull was taken wide most of the way, hut ran well and, better ridden, would have beer, much closer up. Sea Salt had a rough trip and finished gamely. Bitter Brown set a steady, fast pace for a half, but tired in the last half. Camille quit badly after going a half and can do much better.
