Comedienne was outrun for a half, but moved up on the last turn and, finishing fast through a long stretch drive, was slowly drawing out at the finish. Sanguine, away badly, ran a good race, closed an immense gap and outgamed Right and True for second place. The latter showed the most early speed and tired in the stretch drive, but finished resolutely. Comilfo ran well to the stretch. Easto.n ran in improved form and finished close up. Dolly Spanker was never a contender. Noblesse Oblige closed a gap and finished resolutely. Niantic showed speed, but quit .utterly in the last furlong. Millstone finished fast. High Jumper was sluggish at the start and can do better. Ottoman was in close quarters throughout, but did not run his race. Duflield was a forward contender to the last sixteenth. Gramsar showed early speed.
