At post 1 minute. Start good. Won driviug; second and third the same. Hersaln, shullled to the rear early, closed up rapidly on the inside and got up to win in the last stride. Watchful, from a llatfooted start, closed a big gap in the last half and loomed up like the winner, but tired rapidly in the last strides. Lassen, away poorly, improved Lis position fast, finished with a rush and is extra good. The Reprobate was sore and pulled up on the verge of a breakdown after racing in forward contention for five furlougs. Elba showed speed, but dropped out in the stretch. Warte Nicht is a hopeless cripple. Lily Goldiug, probably short, ran well to the stretch and is a good mare. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Nappa, from an inside llatfooted start, was repeatedly interfered with and made up much ground in the last half, running a cracking race. Melar held a briefly forward position, but quit. Crip, after hot early pursuit of the leader, failed to stay. Joe Goss was gaining at the end. Vinton was crowded out at the start. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. The Mighty, from a fair start, trailed to the stretch and closed a big gap at the end, but was short. Kocnigin Luise ran prominently throughout, but finished tiring. E. M. Brattain, from a Hying start, set the pace to the stretch, but quit aud is in bad form. Titus II. was always outpaced and disliked the going. Judge, virtually left, closed an immense gap. Nabonassar decisively outbroke, outpaced and outstayed his opposition and was much the best-Benvolio ran in nearest pursuit of the winner throughout and was a game, but lucky, second. Fury was o striking distance third to the stretch and finished gamely, but was prevented from getting up for second place by Benvolio squeezing him to the inside. Mendon, shuflled back on the first turn, trailed to the half, then closed an immense gap. Little Joker held his position well. Maxtress was prominent for seven furlongs and tired.
