La Souer, favored by the going and well ridden, followed Donaldo close up and, when the latter tired in the final furlong, came on to win as her rider pleased. Donaldo broke fast and showed superior early speed, but tired after going a half. Edina gained steadily from a tangled beginning and finished gamely. Night Mist had lio mishaps and tired fast after going a half. Helen Holland ran fairly well. .Culture, away slowly, had scant chance. Dainty Belle, after showing in front, was taken hack and reserved in close attendance for the first three-quarters, then wore Communipaw down with ease and won eased up to a canter. Communlpaw ran a good race and showed superior speed in the early stages, but tired after going three-quarters. Tinker came with a belated rush through the stretch. St. Noel, after trailing far in the rear, went wide Into the. stretch and closed a big gap. Terns Rod was a forward, contender all the way and will improve. Druid, quit badly after going a half and was evidently short. Jungle Imp ran a bad race and can do much better. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. AI Muller, favored by the going, ran to his best form, took a long lead at once and won eased up. Georgia Girl followed close up from the start, but was tiring fast in the drive through the stretch. Miss Delaney suffered from interference by Georgia Girl in the final sixteenth when going fast and but for this would have been second. Rebel Queen ran well. Pinkola broke fast from an outside position and was favored by the going, showed superior speed for the first half, but tired in the stretch and had to be hard ridden to outstay the fast coming Keator. The latter, probably best today, was away in a tangle and taken wide most of the trip and was going fast when lie suddenly swerved to the inner rail and ranged alongside Pinkola in the last seventy yards, but v could not quite get up. Lens ran a good race and was a close contender in the early stages. Jacobite cloced a big gap in the last quarter. Lad of Langden had no mishaps. Rickey tired after a brief display of speed. De Oro broke fast, but quit after going a quarter. Grimaldl will do better. Mortiboy stole into a long lead in the first quarter, maintained his advantage throughout and, in a game finish, outstayed Tileing. The latter, much the best, was kept under hard restraint for the first three-quarters and saved ground when turning into the stretch, but failed to respond effectively when hard urged in the final drive. Fonsoluca, running in improved form, was a close contender to the stretch turn, where he tired, but held second place safe. Belleview made a fast move after going a half, hut fell back in the stretch drive. Grace Larson showed the most speed for three-quarters, was then shuffled back and interfered with and this cost her third place. Charlie Thompson retired after going three-quarters. Anna Day was squeezed out on the first turn. Vincentlo ran poorly. Little Elkin only cantered all the way and requires strong riding. The winner was entered for 00: no hid.
