POINTING OAKLANDS YOUNGSTERS. San Francisco, Cal., December 10. Within a short while the trainers will be pointing some of their yearlings for early 100S juvenile racing. Even now the quarter stretch is hearing a lot of talk of prospective champions among the yearlings which are soon to enter the racing. Of last winters crop of two-year-olds, T. H. Williams drew the prize in Firestone. This winter there are more coming two-year-olds on the coast than ever fieforc. From what one hears there may be several FIrestones too. Sam Hlldreth has a fine band, while R. F. Carman says he owns the best selected lot of yearlings in America. "Boots" Durnell Invested his early year winnings in yearlings. He has some good youngsters according to the dockers. One yearling colt, by Star Shoot, is highly prized by the young horseman. Hildrcth offered Durnell ,000 cash for him one recent morning on the gallops around, but only got a laugh from Durnell in response.
