ARCADIA TRACK OF GREAT SPEED. Contractor Allen, who built the Arcadia race track, in gossiping about his work a few days ago, declared that his best explanation of the fast time made by horses over the new course Is because it is the only track he ever built that would not "cup" and that horses are able to make better time for this reason. Mr. Allens notion is probably correct and is borne out by the racing figures of the various record holders at the distances of contention at Arcadia to date. In the tables below are shown the records and their makers at seven distances in the nine days of racing that have passed at Arcadia, with the estimated best speed of the same horse oyer other courses in their racing careers: Arcadia Track Records.
