DISCOVERIES CONCERNING MADRI. New Orleans, La., December IS. Goneral Manager Winn and Judges McDowell and Shelly held an investigation after the races last night for the purpose of going over the case of the four-year-old iilly, Madri. It developed that R. A. Smith sold the filly to R. M. Hennesseys foreman at Kansas City two years ago for 00 and 0 out of the first purse. Hennesseys foreman disposed of the filly to Faulkner, who took her to Libertyville and ran Jier as Miss Bertha. Since her arrival here Madri has been working six furlongs better than 1:15 and had she started in the first race yesterday, undoubtedly would have won.
