DEL CRUZAD0S DISQUALIFIED FOR FOUL. Impedes Inclement Near the Finish of the Second Race and the Favorite Given First Place. Los Angeles. Cal.. March 6. — The disqualifying of "Lucky" Baldwins Del Cruzados today in the second race was just and so palpably so that the judges hoisted Implements number without a moments hesitation. McBridc on Del Cruzados pulled across in front of Inclement when seventy-five yards from the line, thereby causing Shilling on the latter to pull up. The decision was greeted with loud ap-plaise from the grandstand, as it gave first place to the favorite. The old roan gelding. Bill Mayham. came back to the races today and repeated his performance of Tuesday by again taking the first race in a canter. Anna May ran in second place throughout and La Iliata finished an easy -third. The others never were serious contenders. The first disqualification of the season occurred following the running of the second race when Del Cruzados palpably fouled Inclement by crossing in front of him in the last sixteenth. Shilling promptly lodged a claim of foul which the judges allowed and disqualifi-d Mm Baldwin youngster. Melton Cloth being given second place and Bell of Brass third. The horses behind the first four finished in two close up bunches, heads separating them as they passed the judges. Bemay won the third race by a narrow margin from Pal iu a hard drive. Laudable finished fast and took third place from Sun Mark in the last stride. The long-distance race, which featured the card, went to Edwin T. Fryer after wearing down the pacemaker, Chalfonte. in the last few strides. L. C. Widrig was a contender to the stretch, whege he tired badly. Shilling again showed his skill in bringing Cotil-riou to the front iu the attach run and winning with ease over the tiring Sainrida. Bribery was an odds-011 favorite and had Shilling up. but tired in the stretch after setting the pace, allowing Toller to win going away. William Walker has al out decided to return to Oakland Sunday with his horses and probably will not race at this track again this winter. Eugene Hildebrand, the former jockey, has notified the management that he will arrive tomorrow with a number of horses which will be raced here by him during the rest of the meeting. Jockey Shilling had a field day in winning four out of six mounts. His mounts were generously supported throughout, end the bookmakers fared badly. P. T. Chinn and his friends lost lieavily on the defeat of Chalfonte by Edwin T. Fryer in the fourth race. The weather was raw and chilly and overcoats were much worn for the first time here in some days. ____
