Follie I,, nearly fell on the first turn and could never get up afterwards. Tommy Abeam, flatfooted and shuttled back. IosmJ a gap. Miss May Bowdish finished fast after carlv interference. Kruka, shuffled to the rear on the first turn, closed an immense gap in the last half .11 tlie extleme outside and just failed- to get up for second place. Monvina moved up fast in the last half into a game stretch struggle. Miss Officious quit badly in the stretch and ran a bad race. Lassen finished well op. Margaret Randolph failed to stay. Lee Rose, shuffled back at the start and reserved over-long, just failed to get up in whirlwind stretch challenge and probably was best, but given a bad ride. Trance ran in forward and extra game contention throughout and was an easing up third. Carmisa. crowded back early, closed up well at the end. Tom Hayward, away slowly on the extreme outside, closed a gap. Seattle was well up tally, but tired finally. Ocean Maid, away badly, closed an immense gap. El Picaro was hoi elessly outpaced from the start. Duke of Milan quit badly. Woodlander also failed to stay. Del Cruzador was crowded out and virtually left. Eduardo ran in prominent contention throughout and outstayed the favorite for third place. Mi s Rillie was sore and trailed in the early running, then closed up in the last half, but was carried wide on the stretch turn and could never get up. Red Leaf ran a dull race. St. Francis ran well up from the start and was a game third. Johnny Lyons dropped to the rear quickly and closed a gap in the last half. Import is out of place in sprints. Milpitas is a sensationally fast horse for a short distance. Overweights — Johnny Lyons, 1 pound.
