Domiuus Arvi was reserved close up to the stretch and moved up fast after turning for home, faltered palpably when a sixteenth out. but Shilling pulled him together under powerful riding and he finished resolutely. Pretension, crazy at the post, ran away twice a sixteenth of a mile before the start, showed dazzling speed throughout and was taken the shortest route, but tired suddenly in the final sixteenth under a hand ride. Silverskin loomed up like the probable winner when an eightli out. but tired suddenly near the end under lie whip. County Clerk fell away on the far turn, but rallied in the stretch, easily outstaying Nadzu tl .rough the last sixteenth drive. The winner was entered for 1908.sh00: no bid.
