KINGSTON YEARLINGS A GOOD LOT Lexington Ky August 20 The fourteen King ¬ ston Stud yearlings that were taken to New York today to be sold at Shecpshead Bay next Saturday were originally intended for the market In England aud Clarence II Mackay had even gone as far as arranging the date September 8 at Doncastcr for their sale Following the receipt of several letters from abroad advising him that conditions were not favorable for high prices for Americanbred young ¬ sters and after the criticism which attended a simi ¬ lar venture on the part of Messrs James H Kecne and August Belmont Mr Mackay decided to sell In New York YorkMr Mr Mackay sold fourteen last September for 51 100 These fourteen arc their superiors individu ¬ ally and collectively The records of weight and height kept nt the farm annually by manager Charles B Hill would seem to prove this These yearlings average fifty pounds heavier and an Inch taller than did those of 1907 1907Eleven Eleven of the fourteen are colts and three are fillies Twelve of the lot are by Meddler one by Mesmerist and one byBanastar
