Taboo was waited with in behind Thetis to the turn into the homestretch, then moved up and drew away into an easy lead at the end. Thetis dashed to the front soon after the start and showed extreme speed, but could aot stall off the winners challenge. Ballet Girl made up ground and ran a good race. Hill Top. sharply cut off on the far turn, closed up fast when straightened out in the homestretch. Ilanonia acted badly at the post and was on the inside in close quarters all the way. Superstition rushed to the front soon after the start and was rated easily in front until in the last quarter, but was doing his best at the end to stall off Queen of the Hills. The latter followed the winner closely .throughout, but was unable to improve her position sufficiently in the final drive and was swerving at the end. Wilton Lackayc began slowly and closed a big gap. but could never get to the first two. Giles was going well at the end. Pins and Needles tired badly after running well to the stretch. Great Jubilee ran well.
